高二英语教案:Unit 5 Music – Reading and Vocabulary

教学目标

1. 知识与技能:学生能理解课文“The Band That Wasn't”的主旨和细节,掌握与音乐类型、乐队组成相关的核心词汇(如:classical, folk, instrument, musician, form a band, dream of, etc.),并能在语境中运用。

2. 过程与方法:通过略读、寻读、小组讨论等方式,培养学生快速获取信息和分析文本结构的能力。

教学过程

一、导入(5分钟)

教师播放几段不同风格的音乐片段(古典、民谣、摇滚、流行),提问:“What kind of music is this? Do you have a favorite band? How do you think a band is formed?” 引出本课主题。

二、阅读活动(25分钟)

1. 略读:学生快速阅读全文,回答主旨问题:“What is the passage mainly about?” (The story of how the Monkees band was formed and their development.)

2. 寻读:学生再次阅读,完成细节信息任务。例如:

Find the names of different music styles mentioned.

What are the steps to form a band usually?

3. 小组讨论:学生分组讨论问题“Why is the title ‘The Band That Wasn't’ used? Do you think the Monkees were a real band? Why or why not?”

三、词汇学习与练习(10分钟)
