Saving Our Planet: A Junior High Student's Duty

Our planet is facing a big challenge – environmental pollution. As junior high students, we might think this is a grown-up problem, but it's actually our responsibility too. Small actions in our daily life can make a real difference.

First, saving energy is easy. We should always turn off the lights, fans, and air conditioners when we leave a room. Unplug chargers when they're not in use. Walking, cycling, or taking the bus to school instead of asking for a car ride reduces air pollution. Every little bit helps our environment.

Second, we must manage our waste wisely. Always remember the three Rs: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Use both sides of your notebook paper. Bring a reusable water bottle and shopping bag. Separate your trash into recyclables like plastic bottles, paper, and cans. Never litter! Throwing garbage on the ground harms animals and makes our communities ugly.

Water is precious. Don't let the tap run while you brush your teeth. Take shorter showers. Fix any leaking taps at home. Every drop counts.

Furthermore, we can spread the word. Talk to your family and friends about these simple habits. Join or start an environmental club at school. Plant a tree if you can. Trees clean the air and provide homes for birds.
