My name is Linh Tran, and I am a 17-year-old high school student from the vibrant city of Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. If I had to describe myself in a few words, I would say I am a curious dreamer with a passion for stories and a deep love for my community.
Academically, I find my greatest joy in Literature and History. There's something magical about exploring different worlds through books and understanding the past that shaped our present. My favorite author is Haruki Murakami; his surreal storytelling always sparks my imagination. While I sometimes struggle with complex Math problems, I see them as interesting puzzles waiting to be solved. Beyond textbooks, I am an active member of our school's English Club. I love organizing speaking events because I believe language is a bridge connecting people from different cultures.
My personal life revolves around my family, my camera, and my bicycle. I live with my parents and my younger brother, who is both my biggest annoyance and my best friend. Our nightly dinners are always filled with lively conversations and laughter. In my free time, you'll often find me cycling through the city's narrow alleys with my old camera in hand. I enjoy capturing small, beautiful moments—a street vendor's smile, the way light filters through trees, or my friends' candid laughs. These photos are my personal diary.
A significant part of my identity is my dedication to volunteering. Every weekend, I help teach basic English to children at a local community center. Seeing their eyes light up when they learn a new word is incredibly rewarding. This experience has taught me patience and the true meaning of giving.
I am not a loud person in large groups; I prefer listening and observing. However, my close friends know I can be quite talkative when discussing things I care about, like environmental protection or a new movie. My biggest dream is to become a documentary filmmaker, combining my love for visual storytelling with my desire to share meaningful human experiences.
I believe life is a journey of continuous learning. I am still figuring out who I am, but I am excited about growing, connecting with others, and creating my own story, one day at a time.
