高一英语周记重译的暖心随笔

This week flew by so quickly! English class was particularly interesting. We started a new unit about environmental protection. Mr. Chen, our teacher, showed us a documentary clip about ocean pollution. Seeing those sea turtles trapped in plastic bags really hit me. I never realized how serious it could be.

On Tuesday, we had a group discussion. My topic was “daily habits to help the planet.” Our group talked about using reusable bottles, turning off lights, and recycling paper. I suggested starting a “no plastic day” in our class. Everyone loved the idea! We plan to propose it to Mr. Chen next week.

Vocabulary learning was a bit challenging this week. Words like “sustainability” and “ecosystem” were new to me. I practiced by writing sentences and drawing mind maps. It helped a lot! By Friday, I could use them smoothly in our class debate.

Outside class, I tried reading a short news article in English about tree planting. I understood most of it, though I had to look up a few words. It felt great to get the main idea without translating every sentence!

One small regret: I forgot to review grammar on Thursday. Next week, I’ll make a better schedule. Still, it was a fulfilling week. Learning English isn’t just about exams—it’s about seeing the world differently. Can’t wait for next week’s lessons!
