Mother's Day always makes me think of my own mom. She is not a famous person, but in my eyes, she is the greatest. Her hands are a little rough from all the housework, but they are the warmest hands I know. Every morning, she gets up early to make breakfast for me. When I am sick, she stays by my bed all night. She remembers all my favorite foods and always puts my needs first.

This year, I wanted to do something different. I decided to make a card myself instead of buying one. I spent a whole afternoon drawing a picture of us holding hands in the garden. Inside, I wrote, "Thank you for everything. I love you, Mom." I also helped with the dishes and cleaned my room without being asked. Seeing her surprised smile was the best feeling in the world.

My mom’s love is quiet but strong. She doesn’t say big words, but she shows her love through small actions every day. She teaches me to be kind and to work hard. On Mother's Day, we celebrate this special love. It is a day to say thank you and to show our mothers how much they mean to us.

I believe every day should be a day to appreciate our mothers. But on this one Sunday in May, we make an extra effort. A simple hug, a homemade gift, or just saying "I love you" can make her day. My mom does so much for our family. She deserves all the happiness. This Mother’s Day, I hope I made her feel as loved and special as she makes me feel every single day.
