Hello, teachers and classmates. My name is Li Ming. I’m very happy to stand here and introduce myself to all of you.

I am 14 years old. I come from a warm and happy family. There are four people in my family: my father, my mother, my younger sister and me. My father is an engineer and my mother is a doctor. They work very hard. My sister is in primary school. We sometimes argue, but we love each other very much.

I have many hobbies. I love reading, especially science fiction books. I enjoy the amazing worlds writers create. I also like playing basketball. It’s a fun team sport that helps me stay healthy and make friends. On weekends, I often play with my classmates in the park. Besides, I am interested in listening to music and drawing. They help me relax.

As a student, I like studying English and science. I find English very useful and interesting. I hope I can talk to people from different countries someday. Science is magical; it explains how our world works. I know I need to work harder on other subjects like history. I will try my best.

My personality is mostly outgoing and friendly. I like to help others. If you need help, please tell me. Sometimes I can be a little shy when I meet new people, but I really want to make friends with everyone here.

This is a new start for me at this school. I feel a little nervous but more excited. I look forward to learning new things and making many good friends. I believe we will have a wonderful time together in the next three years.
