If you ask me which season I like best, I will say autumn without thinking twice. Autumn is the most beautiful and comfortable season in my hometown.
In autumn, the weather is perfect. It is not too hot like summer or too cold like winter. The air is cool and fresh. The sky is always clear and blue, like a huge blue gem. Sometimes, white clouds float slowly, looking like cotton candy.
The colors of autumn are amazing. Leaves on trees change from green to yellow, orange, and red. They look like a burning fire from a distance. When the wind blows, leaves dance in the air and fall to the ground, covering it with a colorful carpet. I love walking on the rustling leaves with my friends after school.
Autumn is also a harvest season. Farmers are busy picking fruits and crops in the fields. Apples, pears, and grapes are ripe and sweet. The golden rice waves in the wind, showing a picture of happiness and hard work.
For me, autumn means the start of a new school term. I feel excited to meet my teachers and classmates again. We can play outdoors during breaks without sweating or shivering. Mid-Autumn Festival comes in this season too. My family enjoys mooncakes and admires the full moon together, which makes me feel warm and loved.
In short, autumn brings nice weather, beautiful views, delicious food, and joyful moments. That's why it is my favorite season. I hope everyone can enjoy the beauty of autumn as much as I do.
