Hello, my name is Alex Chen. I am from Shanghai, China, and I currently work as a software engineer at a tech company here. I've been in this field for about five years now, ever since I graduated from Fudan University with a degree in Computer Science. I really enjoy solving problems and building things that people find useful in their daily lives.

In my free time, I like to keep things pretty balanced. I'm a big fan of hiking and try to get out into the mountains whenever I have a weekend free. I find it really helps to clear my head after a week of staring at code. I also love reading, mostly science fiction and history books. Professionally, I'm really interested in machine learning and how it can be applied to improve user experience. I've taken a couple of online courses on the topic and I'm always trying to learn more. In the next few years, I hope to move into a role where I can focus more on that area.
